Steps involved in making a DJ laptop stand.

Step1 – Attach and position the Vesa mount arm on a desk edge either by clamping or screwing depending on the model of the Vesa arm. Position it by twisting and turning the arm in such a way that it can be used as a DJ laptop stand.

Step2 – In this step you have to create a board that can be attached to the Vesa mount. Measure the size of the DJ laptop and add about 15 mm to allow for any future upgrades. Cut out a piece of wood to the full width of the laptop. Place the laptop on top of the wood to get an idea about where the back of the laptop will sit and mark a line here. Drill holes for attaching the vesa arm to the board by placing the board on the Vesa mount and marking the position of the holes. Drill these holes.

Step3 – In this step the L brackets are fixed. Screw the L brackets to the underside at the front. Add riser bits inside where the back of the laptop sits and this is necessary to avoid vibrations on the laptop. Pad the brackets with neoprene or denim and this should match the contour of the laptop.

Step4 – Attach the screw holes of the monitor into the Vesa mount. Use epoxy glue if required.

Step5 – Decorate the DJ laptop stand with paint etc.
